The Stockholm Art Fair 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 20 will be a "festive, five-sensory soiree." According to planners, "it's probably the best blind date you'll ever have" - as you fall in love with 105 of the region's talented artists.
The fair will feature locally sourced food and drink, four musical acts and the Wisconsin's village galleries and cafes. There's singing and dancing, eating and drinking.
The community event was launched in 1974. This year perennial show exhibitors Linda Day-Dunlap and Jean Accola take off their organizational hats and pass them on to Pepin County artists, Kristin Smith Procter and Leslie Stewart.
As always, there is a locally illustrated commemorative poster; Jan Eckhart of Fuego Design created the 46th edition.
Live music this year includes:
• 10-11:30 a.m. Brian Claxton Trio - instrumental jazz
• 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Uata, Sinz and Orfield - songwriters with blues, passion and soul
• 1:30-3 p.m. Two Rivers - vocals, guitars harmonica and sax
• 3:30-5 p.m. Hot Flashes - a blast from the past served with brass and sass
