HAMMOND - The Prescott High School girls' cross country team won the St. Croix Central Invitational Thursday.
Prescott had three runners finish in the top 10 and four in the top 25, good for a total of 66 points which edged out runner-up Osceola by a 66-75 spread.
Amanda Murphy had PHS's best time and finish with a fifth place showing in 22:26. Annika Carlson was seventh, Samantha Ritter eighth and Molly Sweet 23rd
Ellsworth finished in sixth place out of the 15 schools who entered runners. The Panthers were led by Rachel Mancuso's ninth place in 23:11.
Spring Valley finished seventh led by Pearl Davis's 12th place finish. Elmwood/Plum City was also able to compete as a full team and they finished in 11th place led by Libby Feuker's 27th place finish.
In the boys' meet, Spring Valley's Aidan Manley and Tyler Ellefson both finished in the top 10 again with Manley running a third place time of 18:11 and Ellefson finishing in seventh.
Prescott took third place in the team standings while Spring Valley finished fourth. PHS was led by Phillip Pena's 13th place finish in 19:27.
EPC finoished in 10th place with Chad Osteen taking 31st place and Andrew Gilles 33rd/
Ellsworth's Carter Schultz finished in 22th place in 20:15.
