The River Falls Community Theater is being forced to move from the River Falls Academy building next year after the school board decided to shut down that part of the building. So they’re having a huge moving sale and getting rid of 20 years of costumes and props.

The sale is from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2-7 p.m.  Friday, Oct. 24 and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct.25. The sale will be held on the second floor of the Academy building at 211 N. Freemont Road.

This could be a great time to pick up a one of a kind costume for Halloween.  Some things for sale include: vintage ladies hats and hoop skirts, large paper mache masks, top hats, cowboy hats and even a coonskin cap (think Daniel Boone).. They’re also selling off furniture, theater seats, housewares, fabric and wall art.

The theater is also putting out a call for anyone who may know of a space they could use once they vacate their current space next spring.
