Even if you haven't seen "Star Wars," you know it. You know "May the Force be with you." You know Yoda. And you probably know Darth Vader is Luke's father. (If you didn't, our apologies for the spoiler.)

We're celebrating all things "Star Wars" on Saturday, May 4, now known as May the Fourth Be With You Day. Join us from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for games, experiments, crafts, cookies and character visits, including Lord Vader himself.

In 1977, George Lucas premiered a film that would launch pop culture into an out-of-this-world adventure. In the last 40 years, Star Wars has become one of the most popular and well-known franchises in the world with sequels, prequels, stand-alone films, books, comics and video games.

Grab your lightsaber and your favorite Wookie and head down to the library for the party and a second great opportunity - our Technology Petting Zoo. After you've fought the dark side of the Force, head to the lobby and experience all the cool technology at the library. Thanks to a grant from the Hudson Area Public Library Foundation, we have amazing tools you can use with your library card - from a sewing machine to a green screen to podcasting equipment.

For more information about this and other services, visit www.hudsonpubliclibrary.org or call 715-386-3101. See you at the library!
