Minnesota State College Southeast is preparing for the annual Stings, Winds and Brass showcase of music. The event will be 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 6, at the Sheldon Theater.

The showcase comprises of a variety of acts that will make the concert unlike any other. Groups and solo performers include solo trombone, harmonica and voice, a poet, and Metalbuddah, a heavy metal cello duo.

MSC Southeast has students from around the county who enroll in band instrument repair, violin repair and the guitar building and repair. The wide-reach of the programs will be on display in the showcase of music as performers hail from Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, and numerous other states and regions of the U.S.

Money raised goes to the Minnesota State College Southeast Foundation scholarship fund.

Advanced tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased through the Sheldon Theatre or MSC Southeast's bookstore at the Red Wing campus.
