The Hastings High School Theater Department performed Moliere's "The Miser" Nov. 10-12. The play is a five-act comedy that was first performed in 1668.

The plot revolves around love and money. The miser Harpagon wants his daughter Elise to marry a wealthy old man, but she is in love with Valere. Harpagon wants to marry a young woman named Marianne, who his son Cleante wishes to marry.
