The City of Prescott and Prescott Public Library have teamed up to establish a community garden of sorts outside City Hall (800 Borner St.)
Outside City Hall, four large pots contain a variety of flowers, vegetables, herbs, and spices that are available to the public for free. Take your pick.
City Administrator Jayne Brand said if you're looking for a green pepper or maybe a dash of chives for your next dish, stop by City Hall.
Brand said the city and library came together as a part a plan to be more eco-friendly in the community.
The produce will be replaced and taken care of on a weekly basis. Brand also said they will be monitoring the most popular items and look into swapping out some that aren't as popular if need be.
