The Wisconsin Badgers and UW-Green Bay received berths last night to the NCAA women's basketball tournament.

The Badgers earned the number-seven seed in the Kansas City Region. They'll play No.10 Vermont on Sunday at noon in South Bend, Indiana. The Green Bay Phoenix were given the 12th seed in the Dayton Region. They'll take on No. 5 seed Virginia Sunday evening in Ames, Iowa.

The Badgers made the NCAA for the first time since 2002, but the Big Dance is old hat for Green Bay - which is making its second trip in three years under coach Matt Bollant. It's also the Phoenix's 10th NCAA appearance in the last 13 years. UWGB is 27-4, and will play a Virginia team that's 21-9 and is making its third straight appearance. The Cavaliers are coming off a quarter-final loss in the ACC tournament, while Green Bay lost its semi-final in the Horizon tourney.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin coach Lisa Stone said she was happy with the Badgers' seventh-seed, saying it's a credit to the players' hard work. The Badgers are 21-10, and will play a Vermont team that's 26-6 and won the America East Conference for the second straight year.
