Wisconsin did not get a higher ranking in the national football polls as a result of its 83-to-20 home rout of Indiana on Saturday.

The Badgers remain at number-seven in the BCS Standings. And they still have the edge for the Rose Bowl at the moment, even though its lead over Ohio State dropped from four places to two. The Buckeyes rose to number-nine, and Michigan State is 12th. All three teams have one loss - and if the regular season ends that way, the Rose Bowl berth would go to the team with the highest BCS standing. And that's Wisconsin at the moment.

The Badgers were also unchanged in the other major polls. They're still ranked sixth by the A-P, and fifth in the USA Today coaches' poll and the Harris Interactive poll.

Wisconsin is 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the Big Ten. They'll play at Michigan on Saturday. Other Big Ten games are Ohio State at Iowa, Purdue at Michigan State, Penn State vs. Indiana at Fed Ex Field in Landover, MD. and Illinois vs. Northwestern at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Wisconsin running back James White was named today as the Big Ten's football freshman-of-the-week. White ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 83-20 home rout of Indiana. He averaged over seven-and-a-half yards for each of his 19 carries, in his first game since he sprained an MCL ligament in his left knee on October 23rd at Iowa. It's the third time White received the league's freshman honors. He has rushed for 714 yards and 11 touchdowns so far this season.
