SPRING VALLEY - Three starters and lettermen from last season's Dunn-St. Croix Conference runner-ups have graduated which means for the Spring Valley High School boys' basketball team a shifting of the burden for scoring and defense.
All D-SC players Dylan Webster, Kyler Goztman and Ted Anderson have graduated from last season's 16-9 squad which finished 12-4 in the league. If burden shifts it goes right All D-SC honorable mention from last winter, senior Kyle Bosshart.
"He knows the situation and he knows he's going to be asked to do more than in seasons past," SV head coach Rob Bosshart said. "It's a different he's going to have to provide leadership for but he's prepared to do so."
The Cardinals won't be completely inexperienced as they return a handful of lettermen who played some varsity in spots last season. This includes junior Troy Rudesill, seniors Cody Shafer and Cory Schlosser. But trying to create an up-tempo, transition team who presses will require several players stepping up from the JV ranks to make the depth required for such a team.
