HUDSON - A fire damaged a duplex at 327 Division St. in Hudson Saturday afternoon. Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 4 p.m. The occupants of the structure were not home.
The fire was discovered by Ryan and Sandy Wagner who were walking their dogs in front of the structure.
"I noticed smoke and we walked toward the back of the building and saw flames coming out of a porch area." Ryan Wagner said.
The fire did damage to the first floor of the structure. The Hudson fire Department was assisted by the Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department and the St. Joseph Fire Department. The flames were extinguished before 5 p.m., but smoke and water damage impacted much of the structure.
Records indicate that the structure is owned by Daniel Ham. St. Croix EMS was also on the scene
