Green Bay Police said a drunk driver hit two pedestrians and then drove seven blocks home with one of the bodies wedged in a windshield.
That victim, a 50-year-old man, died at a hospital six hours later.
The other victim, a 41-year-old woman, was found lying in a street and she was hospitalized in serious condition at last word.
The 40-year-old driver is due in court today (Tuesday).
Police are seeking charges of causing homicide and injury by drunken driving, hit and run causing death and injury and hiding a corpse.
The two victims are both from Green Bay and were walking together at the time.
The driver was apparently returning from a friend's house.
Officials are not sure what the driver did between the time of the crash and the time he called 911 about six hours later. It was only then when he said he was in an accident and he thought he hit someone.
The driver's blood alcohol level was not disclosed. Police say they're still investigating the incident.
