Dakota County will receive single prime sealed bids for the final bid package for the construction of a 25,000 square feet office building located at the Dakota County Transportation Facility, 2800 160th Street West (? mile east of State Hwy 3) until 11:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday August 15, 2006 at the office of the Treasurer/Auditor, Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, Minnesota, 55033 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Pre-bid conference and tour will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday August 4, 2006 at the site. Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be present.
Bidding documents including the bid form, drawings and specifications can be obtained from Engineering Repro Systems www.ersdigital.com - PlanWell© icon and will be available on or after July 25, 2006 for review at the office of Wold Architects and Engineers, 305 St. Peter St., St. Paul, MN 55102, at the Minneapolis Builders Exchange; St. Paul Builders Exchange; Dodge Plan Room (Edina); and Construction Market Data (Brooklyn Park). This is the 3rd and final of three bid packages. This package includes mechanical, electrical, interior concrete slabs, roof system, windows, curbs, gutters and bituminous pavement relating to the construction of one new 25,000 square feet office building.
Bids must be submitted only on the bid form supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
Bids may not be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the opening bids. The Dakota County Board of Commissioners will consider award of the project on August 22, 2006 and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. Estimated cost for this package is $4.4 million.

The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the project by July, 2007.
