Gordon "Gordy" H. Lindorff, 79, Hager City, died Tuesday at his home. He was born July 21, 1928, in Scott County, Minnesota, to Albert B. and Marie (Tyreman) Lindorff.
@death of veteran: He served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 27, 1950, to Aug. 26, 1953. He worked as a chef at many fine restaurants, and retired after 30 years from the Steamboat Inn in Prescott, Wis.
@Normal: Surviving are stepsons Dale and William Smith; brothers Wilmer of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Everett of Seattle, Wash.; and sisters Ester of Longview, Wash., Georgia of Seattle, Wash., and Dorothy of Faribault, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, four brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joy Lutheran Church, 1435 St. Croix St., Prescott. The family suggests donations in his name to local humane societies.
