Kaylee Kurtti, 65, rural Goodhue, who was traveling in rural Featherstone Township when the storm hit Thursday, found herself trapped in her vehicle after power lines snapped off and fell on it as she was driving southwest on County Road 1.

Goodhue County authorities received the call at 1:40 p.m. Kurtti, who was alone in the vehicle, was advised to remain inside and touch nothing.

When Rural Electric Association crews arrived at the scene near County Road 53, they confirmed that the power lines were "hot," reports said.
