To the Editor:
I would like to respond to the letter that a gentleman wrote about Sarah Palin and her Down syndrome baby (R-E, Sept. 9). His letter chastised Palin for using her fifth child, Trig, as a stage prop.
I don't understand why this child with disabilities should be acknowledged differently that her other four children that she also had with her or McCain's children or Obama's children, or Biden's children. What I saw were the loving parents introducing their children to the world.
This gentleman needs to ask himself why Trig should be treated any other way but united with his family.
