Game recap: The Tigers started the game on a 10-0 run as LeRoy-Ostrander missed its first eight shots and rolled to a home victory. Lake City also had a 34-20 edge in rebounds against its Class A opponent.
Difference maker: Entering Saturday's game, Cardinals seniors Michael Knight and Josh Rowe had combined to average 42 points per game and LeRoy-Ostrander was averaging 64 points a contest, according to Lake City coach Shawn Sweeney. The Tigers' defense held the duo 20 points below their average.
Top players: Lake City junior forward Drew Swanson scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Senior guard Elliot Grimley added 12 points and Austin Gilles, a senior center, pulled down 10 rebounds.
Coach's quote: "Everybody scored. Everybody got ample playing time. We (hadn't) gotten a chance like that to date," said Sweeney, later adding, "They all contributed to the win."
