Doses of the H1N1 vaccine have arrived in Goodhue County and are available to high-risk individuals today.

Public Health will offer vaccination to these target groups:

  • Age 6 months to 4 year olds
  • Pregnant women
  • Children age 5 to 18 with underlying health conditions
  •  Contacts of infants 6 months and under.

People who believe they have already been ill with H1N1 are recommended to get vaccinated unless a lab test specific for H1N1 was positive.

Only these groups can receive vaccine at this time.

No one will be charged for vaccine administration at these public clinics. Many other clinics and hospitals have received H1N1 vaccine so if you have a local medical provider and health insurance, you should be able to get your vaccine from them if you are in a high risk category.
