Kyoko Negishi and Scott Hallal were married Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the Holy Temple of the Pure Land Buddhism. A reception was held at the Wai'oli Tea Room.

Maren Mosier served as maid of honor, along with bridesmaids Courtney Brebbia and Rhonda Grimmer. Dana Hallal was the best man, along with groomsmen Chris Wierens and Dave Vonbank.

Kyoko is the daughter of Takao and Tamiyo Negishi of Dusseldorf, Germany. She graduated from the University of Hawaii Manoa with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and art.

Scott is the son of Gregory and Susan Hallal of Cottage Grove. He has a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Hawaii Manoa and works at HMSA, Hawaii's Health Care Company.

The couple lives in Honolulu.
