Two men reportedly burglarized a St. Paul Park apartment, fled and then fired a gunshot

at residents from the apartment below who were chasing them early last Sunday morning.

St. Paul Park Police are seeking the suspects.

Just after midnight July 27, police were called to a multi-family residence in the 800 block of Third Street. The caller said they live downstairs and heard footsteps above them, but they knew that their neighbors above were out of town, according to the police report.

The residents who called watched for the suspects to leave, and then followed them on foot through an alley, according to the police report. The suspects then stopped mid-way down the alley and fired a gun at them, the report says

One suspect was wearing a black mask with eye holes cut in it. The other was a black man. Both were wearing baggy clothes, the residents told police. Another witness said the men were driving a large, white, four-door vehicle that was possibly a Cadillac. He said they were possibly black or Hispanic, and one had longer hair.

Police ask anyone with information on this incident to call St. Paul Park Investigator Lindquist at (651) 459-9785.
