The Hastings City Council will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, July 21, at City Hall. Here’s a look at what’s on the agenda.
The main topic of discussion will be the Riverfront Renaissance project, which involves several renovations to downtown Hastings spread out over three phases. The final master plan will be presented to the council and audience and the council will be asked to officially adopt the master plan and order the first phase of the project, which would begin this fall. The public will be invited to comment before any vote is made.
Related to the project, the council will also be asked to continue using the services of Bolton & Menk, which has been working with the Scoping Study Advisory Committee since last December to help develop the plans. Under the new contact, Bolton & Menk would provide design and project management services throughout all three phases of the project. The proposed fee for all three years of the project is about $587,000.
