Hastings Police have filed two felony counts of domestic assault, cause fear of immediate bodily harm or death, two or more prior convictions or adjudications, against Donald Allen Sherry III, 27, Hastings, following a June 9 incident in Hastings.

According to the complaint, police were called to an apparent domestic incident near the Walgreen’s parking lot. When they arrived, they located a female who had abrasions on her right shoulder, right elbow and hand. She also had cuts on her right ankle and foot. She told police she had left a residence with Sherry to go to another residence. She told Sherry he could not come in the residence. As they walked, she said an argument began and she tried to run. She said Sherry came up behind her, grabbed her backpack and pushed her to the ground. Sherry said he came up behind her and tried to hug her.
