Students at Pinecrest Elementary raised nearly $600 for Pawsitivity, a nonprofit organization located in St. Paul at the second annual Bingo Night on Jan. 30.

About 150 students and family members attended the event to raise money for Pawsitivity. The organization was formed in 2012 to rescue dogs and train them as service dogs for people with developmental and physical disabilities, focusing on children with autism.

Tom Coleman, the executive director of Pawsitivity, brought a service dog in training named Sara to meet the students. In addition, he spoke about training service dogs and the organization.
