Pleasant Hill Library's temporary location at Westview Mall will close on June 1 ahead of the renovated library's opening later this summer.

Library materials for return will still be accepted at Westview Mall in outside bins throughout the rest of the construction. In an April interview, Dakota County library officials said that the renovated library was on pace for an early- to mid-July opening.

The renovations are adding in about 1,500 square feet for expanded meeting space, a new space with high-end technology like a 3D printer and other improvements. The construction project started in October 2018 and has been able to stay under cost projections, said Senior Project Manager Joe Lexa in an April email.
