The St. Croix County Planning and Zoning Committee will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the St. Croix County Government Center, 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, Wisconsin to consider the following:

1) Proposed Amendments to Subchapter IV, Section 17.40, Floodplain Overlay District Ordinance:

Comments and questions from the public will be heard and addressed. The proposed amendments to the County's Floodplain Overlay District Ordinance, Section 17.40, are required to maintain compliance with recent changes to Chapter NR 116, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and corresponding Model Floodplain Ordinance, by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The proposed amendments to Section 17.40 will also adopt the new Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) that have been completed by the Department of Homeland Securityís Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The amendments to Section 17.40 are required to maintain participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
