Washington County Commissioner Lisa Weik and two other commissioners were sworn in during a ceremony Tuesday at the Washington County Government Center in Stillwater.
Weik, of District 5, represents much of Woodbury. Joining her in starting a new term on the board are veteran Commissioner Bill Pulkrabek of Oakdale and Autumn Lehrke of Cottage Grove. This is Lehrke's first term, after she pulled off an upset victory by beating Myra Peterson in last fall's election.
Newly-elected Washington County Attorney Pete Orput, who replaces the retired Doug Johnson, and Washington County Sheriff Bill Hutton, were also sworn in during the ceremony. Hutton is starting his second term.
Two local residents were named to county advisory committees:
In District 5:
Carl Scheider, Woodbury, Community Corrections Advisory
Mary Beth Johnson, Woodbury, Public Health Emergency Preparedness Advisory
At-large members include:
Mark Frazer, Woodbury, Groundwater Advisory
Robert Bankers, Woodbury, Groundwater Advisory
