A winter storm warning is in effect tonight through Saturday for western Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service says a new low-pressure system will move into Wisconsin this evening (Friday), and it might drop another foot of snow in northern Wisconsin by the time it ends Saturday night.
Central Wisconsin could get 5 to 9 inches. Two to six inches are predicted for the south.
A winter storm watch is posted for Saturday in southwest, central and eastern parts of the state.
After that, it will get cold again. Sunday's highs may only be in the single digits above zero in the western half of Wisconsin and in the teens in the east. Forecasters expect the cold wave to continue at least through the middle of next week.
