Defenseman Nigel Williams has left the University of Wisconsin men's hockey team because he's apparently upset over a lack of playing time.
The Wisconsin State Journal said Williams is leaving UW-Madison altogether, and will play with a Major Junior league team in Saginaw Michigan.
The 18-year-old Williams was taken by Colorado in the second round of this year's NHL Entry Draft and he played in seven of Wisconsin's first 10 games.
However, coach Mike Eaves was not happy with the level of Williams' puck-handling and decision-making skills. So he failed to make the top-seven on one of the veteran units.
Eaves said it was clear Williams was not happy and by leaving, he did what he felt he had to do.
