PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village Board of North Hudson, St. Croix County, Wisconsin will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday January 6, 2009, at the Village Hall, 400 Seventh Street N. for the purpose of hearing comments on the proposed repeal and recreation of Chapter 98 Zoning, Section 98-151 Lower St. Croix River District zoning of the Municipal Code of the Village of North Hudson.
The purpose of the hearing is to solicit comments on the new NR 118 Lower St. Croix Riverway ordinance which will replace the existing ordinance (Chapter 98 Zoning, Section 98-151 of the Municipal Code) and bring it into conformance with federal and state regulations.
The ordinance creates an overlay zoning district within the boundaries of the Lower St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Those boundaries are defined within the ordinance and by Chapter NR 118 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code. The ordinance contains the land use regulations and procedures within the Riverway district that are in addition to the existing Village zoning regulations. For example, the ordinance regulates buildings and other structures, roads, driveways, stairways, vegetation planting and removal, etc. These are just some examples; the ordinance is extensive and covers almost any land use within the Riverway district.
A copy of the proposed ordinance will be on file at the Village Hall, Clerk's office, 400 Seventh Street N., and available for public inspection for a period of two weeks prior to the public hearing.
All interested persons are invited to present comments at the hearing.
Dated this 11th day of December, 2008.
Gloria Troester, Administrator/Clerk
Village of North Hudson
