A Town of Cylon man is dead after being pinned under a tractor-pulled brush hog at his farm Monday night.
Duane O. Wright, 85, was killed by injuries he sustained when the piece equipment fell on him at 1956 240th St., Town of Cylon, said Dennis Hillstead, St. Croix County sheriff.
"At about 8:45 p.m. his daughter called dispatch to say her father had been pinned," he said. "Apparently he was working on (the brush hog) and had it up on blocks. He was underneath it and somehow the blocks were knocked loose."
Hillstead said one of Wright's neighbors stumbled upon the scene after getting a call from Wright's daughter asking for help in locating him.
New Richmond Area Ambulance, Deer Park Fire Department and St. Croix County Sheriff's Department all responded to the scene.
A medical helicopter in Rice Lake was on standby but never deployed.
