Frank Eugene Guest, age 89, of Greeley, Co., died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, at the Centennial Health Care Center in Greeley.
Frank E. Guest was born in Ellsworth, to Grant and Catherine (Wagner) Guest, Oct. 24, 1916.
He grew up in the Ellsworth and Trimbelle area. Worked on the family farm and Haverlandt's grocery store in Ellsworth.
On Oct. 2, 1942 he married Leona Gordon in Red Wing.
In 1957, Frank and his family moved to Greeley, Colo. and started working for the Colorado State Highway Department, where he worked for 23 years, until he retired in 1980.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and was an avid reader of western books.
He was a member of the Red Dole Camping Club and the Johnstown Methodist Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Leona; two daughters, Carol Keller and Lana Knouse, both of Greely; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter and three sisters, Marie Pechacek of Ellsworth, Mary and Sheldon Hilden of River Falls, and Dorothy and Roydie Johnson of Ellsworth.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Sylvester; three brothers, four sisters and a son-in-law Jim Knouse.
Service was held on Oct. 20 at Adamson West Chapel in Greeley, Colo.
Internment was at the Sunset Memorial Garden in Greeley, Colo.
