Summer hours for the Pierce County Historical Association (PCHA) office will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m.

The office has been open on Thursday afternoons, but not during the summer

"One reason for the change," said Audrey Gilbertson, office manager, "is the difficulty of having three volunteers able to come in, with many workers on summer vacations. We need one person in the office just to answer the phone and take messages, and two working in researching visitors' questions, and cataloging our growing collection."

Area residents may call ahead if they want to come in when the office is open, or leave a message at 273-6611.

The office is located in the lower level of the Ellsworth Village Hall, 130 N. Chestnut St.
