The Red Wing High School Ovation choir didn't let a malfunctioning elevator dampen its holiday spirit.

The choir reportedly got stuck on an elevator Monday, Dec. 9 after performing to residents at the Downtown Plaza senior living community, according to an email from Superintendent Karsten Anderson. The fire department was working to get students out of the elevator; no injuries were reported.

The choir sang Christmas carols from inside the stuck elevator, according to the email.
