A Prescott man with a lengthy criminal history was arrested Sunday after an ATV crash in city limits.
Prescott police said officers were called at 2:51 p.m. Sept. 9 to Kinnickinnic and Flora streets for an ATV crash. According to a news release, officers arrived to find an ATV in the street that had been driven by 28-year-old John P. Lubich, who was found with injuries.
A crew from River Falls Ambulance-Prescott station brought Lubich to River Falls Area Hospital, where he was medically cleared by staff. Lubich was then taken to Pierce County Jail for an alleged probation violation.
Lubich was convicted in 2014 of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, felony bail jumping and OWI-fifth/sixth and was sentenced to five years in prison and five years on extended supervision.
According to court records, Lubich is set for a November plea hearing in a Pierce County misdemeanor case in which he's charged with criminal property damage and refusing to stop a snowmobile for an officer.
Pierce County sheriff's deputies and Prescott fire/rescue members assisted officers at the scene of the crash, which remains under investigation.
