Initial appearances

Michael D. Condon Sr., 56, River Falls, was ordered to pay $10,000 cash bail on a first degree sexual assault of child - sexual contact with person under 13 (lifetime supervision of serious offender) charge March 8. The charge stemmed from an incident on or between March 4-5 in River Falls.

Daniel M. Danielson, 27, River Falls, pleaded innocent and posted a $1,000 signature bond on a disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge March 5. The charge resulted from a March 3 incident in River Falls.

Sabrina R. Garcia, 24, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., pleaded innocent and posted a $5,000 signature bond on a theft - movable property charge March 5. The charge stemmed from an incident on or between July 7-22 in the town of River Falls.

Laina M. Hartenstein, 38, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond on one felony neglect a child (harm did not occur and child under 6 or disability) charge and two counts of neglect a child (specific hard did not occur) March 4. The charges resulted from a Nov. 19 incident in River Falls.

Brandon R. Johnson, 35, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond on felony bail jumping and felony possess with intent - amphetamine charges March 7. The charges stemmed from an Oct. 24 incident in Pierce County.

Dian L. Komanec, 58, Elmwood, pleaded innocent and posted a $1,000 signature bond on a disorderly conduct charge March 4. The charge resulted from a Sept. 1 incident in Elmwood.

Andrew E. Krech, 36, Ellsworth, posted a $10,000 signature bond on one felony bail jumping charge and eight counts of misdemeanor bail jumping March 4. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 21 incident in Ellsworth.

Mary E. Melstrom, 42, Ellsworth, pleaded innocent and posted a $25,000 signature bond on felony arson of building with owner's consent, felony criminal damage to property, negligent handling of burning material, criminal trespass to dwelling (two), misdemeanor criminal damage to property (two) and resisting/obstructing an officer charges March 4. The charges resulted from incidents Nov. 26, 2017; June 10, 2018; and Nov. 10, 2018 in the town of Trenton.

Mary J. Phillips, 39, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond on a neglect a child (consequence is sex offense) charge March 8. The charge stemmed from incidents on or between March 3-5 in River Falls.

Loren E. Rawlings, 34, River Falls, posted a $250,000 signature bond on 15 felony possession of child pornography (lifetime supervision of serious sex offender) charges March 5. The charges resulted from incidents on or between Dec. 27 and Feb. 26 in River Falls.

Ryan J. Wakefield, 38, Waite Park, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond on one felony neglect a child (harm did not occur and child under 6 or disability) charge and two counts of neglect a child (specific hard did not occur) March 4. The charges resulted from a Nov. 19 incident in River Falls.

Deferred prosecution

Kevin J. McNamara, 34, Ellsworth, pleaded guilty to and entered a deferred prosecution agreement on a felony substantial battery-intend bodily harm (domestic abuse) charge March 4. The charge stemmed from a March 15, 2018 incident in the town of El Paso.

Closed cases

James J. Bixby, 44, Prescott, was sentenced to 265 days in jail (199 with time served and good time credit) at a probation revocation sentencing hearing March 4. The sentence stemmed from an Oct. 6, 2014 conviction on three counts of receiving or concealing stolen property, as party to a crime. The charges resulted from incidents Oct. 13, 2013; Feb. 3, 2014; Feb. 27-28, 2014; and on or between Feb. 22-28, 2014 in River Falls.

A disorderly conduct charge against Caylyn M. Copeskey, 23, Wausau, was dismissed March 4 with prejudice. The charge stemmed from a June 14, 2015 incident in River Falls.

Callie S. Goodier, 31, Ellsworth, was convicted of possess drug paraphernalia and fined $443, March 4. The charge resulted from a Sept. 25 incident in the town of Trimbelle.

Thaddeus Hankiewicz, 25, Ogema, Minn., was sentenced to 232 days in jail (185 days time served and with good time) and ordered to pay $518 in unpaid court costs at a March 6 probation revocation sentencing hearing. The sentencing stemmed from a March 13, 2018 escape-criminal arrest conviction. The charge resulted from a Feb. 22, 2017 incident in Prescott.

Dandre S. Hicks, 28, St. Paul, was convicted of possession of THC and fined $443 March 4. The charge stemmed from an Aug. 9 incident in the town of Trenton.

A criminal damage to property charge against Michala R. Husemann, 23, Hudson, was dismissed March 6 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from an April 7, 2016 incident in Prescott.

Jason J. Kulla, 47, Prescott, was convicted of felony bail jumping and felony aggravated battery (use of dangerous weapon), sentenced to eight years of probation and 223 days in jail (142 days credit), ordered to complete a domestic abuse assessment, fined $518 and ordered to pay $1,130 in restitution March 6. Felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer, first degree sexual assault - use dangerous weapon, strangulation and suffocation and battery charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Oct. 19 and May 15, 2018 in Prescott.

Antonio D. O'Brien, 22, Plum City, was convicted of possession of THC and sentenced to time served (12 days in jail, nine days with good time credit) March 4. A possess drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a May 11 incident in River Falls.

Amanda A. Skulski, 42, Rice Lake, was sentenced to 153 days in jail (116 with good time and time served credit) and ordered to pay $3,130.67 in civil judgment at a March 4 sentencing hearing for probation revocation. The sentencing stemmed from an Aug. 24, 2011 issue of worthless checks conviction. The charge resulted from a Sept. 18, 2010 incident in the town of Trenton.

Logan T. Sosebee, 21, Houston, Texas, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $277.80 March 6. The charge stemmed from a Jan. 1 incident in the town of Ellsworth.

Jeffrey S. Vold, 53, Ellsworth, was convicted of receiving or concealing stolen property, sentenced to one year of probation, fined $123.05 and ordered to pay joint restitution totalling $639.90 March 5. The charge resulted from an incident on or between Oct. 22 to Oct. 23, 2015 in the town of Trenton.

John P. Votaw, 54, River Falls, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $277.80 March 4. The charge stemmed from an Oct. 29 incident in River Falls.

Stalking, knowingly violate a domestic abuse order injunction, domestic abuse battery, computer message/threaten injury or harm, felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct charges against Jeremy R. Wildeman, 35, Ellsworth, were dismissed March 6 due to the defendant being deceased. The charges resulted from incidents on and between Nov. 1-3, Nov. 4, on and between Nov. 15-16 and Feb. 17 in the town of Hartland.
