Roberts Police Department and FBI officials from the Eau Claire office are investigating a robbery Aug. 22 at Citizens State Bank Roberts branch in which the suspect implied a weapon and demanded money, though no weapon was observed.
According to the initial Roberts Police Department news release, the suspect left on foot with an undisclosed sum before police arrived. Roberts Police Chief Aaron McWilliams said in a phone interview Aug. 22 there is no threat to the public as the suspect has left the area.
The suspect presumably had a parked vehicle nearby that he returned to after exiting the bank, according to authorities.
Roberts police asks anyone with video doorbells or surveillance cameras in the area or saw a lone male or a suspicious vehicle from 11 to 11:30 a.m. to contact the department at 715-749-3467.
