Laura Moon of River Falls was one of 22 UW-River Falls undergraduate researchers who successfully completed the new Summer Undergraduate Research at River Falls (SURRF) program.

SURRF is a 10-week series of training and professional development workshops designed to complement intensive, inquiry-based and individualized research programs working closely with faculty mentors in physics, psychology, sociology, digital film and television, art, education, biology, and animal science.

Moon completed her research, "FLUCKA simulation of UWRF Neutron Monitors using Geant4," under the mentorship of Professor Jim Madsen of the Physics Department.
