The king and queen of Elmwood: Hanson, Zignego crowned at Pep Fest

Elmwood High School held its yearly homecoming pep fest Wednesday, Sept. 27 in the Red Zone gym, crowning seniors Alyssa Hanson and Bruce Zignego as the queen and king .

All fall athletic coaches gave speeches introducing their teams, along with a lip syncing contest between students and faculty, plus more activities.

Matthew Lambert joined the Red Wing Republican Eagle in March 2018 covering school board, public safety, and writing features. Lambert previously wrote for the Pierce County Herald and River Falls Journal. He is a graduate of Winona State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication: Journalism.
