Aerial footage captured July 9, 2019, shows crews at work deconstructing the Academy Building on Fremont Street.

The 1927 and 1940s portions of the building are being knocked down. The process, according to River Falls School District Finance and Facilities director Chad Smurawa, will take around four weeks.

The Academy building has been the home of River Falls Public Montessori Academy for years. Once the older portions are knocked down, and the building is reconstructed, it will continue to house the Montessori Academy.
