A remodeled Pleasant Hill Library with new technology and more space will reopen Tuesday, June 25.

Construction began in October 2018 to expand the Hastings library by nearly 1,500 square feet. New features include more meeting rooms, an iLAB with cutting-edge technology such as 3D printing, an interactive children's area with a baby garden, a fireplace lounge, and an outdoor patio.

Changes made to the library during the $3.6 million renovation were based on public feedback and staff input. The project focused on creating a library that accommodates a broader set of uses.

A grand reopening celebration will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25 at Pleasant Hill, 1490 S. Frontage Road. The first 300 visitors will receive a special gift.
