The southbound traffic lane of Red Wing Avenue South will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. Friday, April 26 through 5 p.m. Friday, May 10.
The closure is to allow Xcel Energy to complete gas main work on Red Wing Avenue South. There will be a detour starting at the intersection of South Service Drive and Red Wing Avenue South heading west to Danforth Avenue South, then south to State Street.
No residential driveways are to be impacted by the construction area, according to the city.
The city is asking residents to follow posted detour signs for the duration of the closure.
