The Red Wing School Board is moving forward with three finalists for the district’s superintendent position.

The school board chose Andrew Beaton, director of strategic projects at the Edina school district, Kittson Central Superintendent Bob Jaszczak and New Town Superintendent Anthony Vandal as finalists on March 28. The finalists were chosen from eight applicants.

The finalists are scheduled to have first round interviews with the school board beginning at 12:30 p.m., Monday, April 8. A second round of interviews is scheduled to begin at noon Monday, April 15. Interviews on both days will take place in Red Wing High School Room J110 and will be open to the public, but won’t be livestreamed to ensure a level playing field for all candidates. Due to the interviews taking place during the school day, people wanting to attend the interviews must sign in with identification at Door 10A.
