Members of the Woodbury Ambassador Royal Family visited seven elementary schools and three preschools this month, reading to children as part of February's "I Love to Read" month activities.

"This is one of my favorite volunteer events of the year," said queen Jordyn Yourczek, Miss Woodbury. "Sharing our love of reading, and inspiring children to make it a lifelong activity, is a gift for all of us."

The Woodbury Ambassadors Royal Family scholarship program has provided leadership, community service and scholarship opportunities for girls and young women for over 35 years. Ambassadors are chosen based on a month-long candidacy of interviews, community service events and volunteering at Woodbury Days. After a one-year reign representing and serving the city of Woodbury, each Ambassador receives a college scholarship.
