Ramona Anne Belle Isle, age 77, of Somerset, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 21, 1942 in Eden Prairie, MN to Frank and Anne (Hammes) Langer. Ramona graduated from Somerset High School in Somerset WI. She married Cletus Belle-Isle on July 1, 1961 and lived in Minneapolis for a short time before they built their house north of Somerset where they made a home and had eight children. Ramona was a very dedicated wife and mother. She was a great homemaker, cooking and baking all the time, she loved to knit, crochet and quilt. She was very passionate about gardening. After retirement, she enjoyed keeping a large vegetable garden and numerous flower gardens. She spent a lot of time doing home improvement projects, learning as she went along. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and took pride in volunteering to provide readings during masses.
Ramona was preceded in death by her loving husband Cletus Belle Isle; parents, Frank and Anne Langer; and her brothers Marvin and Bob, grandchildren, Ethan Belle Isle and Brittany Behne. Ramona is survived by her children, Gregory (Denise) Belle Isle of Somerset, Alexander Belle Isle of Somerset, John (Melissa) Belle Isle of Wyoming, MN, Richard (Debbie) Belle Isle of Forest Lake, MN, Thomas (Maria) Belle Isle of Zaragoza, Spain, Lawrence (Despina) Belle Isle of Alexandria, VA, Monica (Glenn) Chiodo of St. Paul, MN, and Matthew (Janel) Belle Isle of Clear Lake, WI; grandchildren, Bethany Belle Isle, Gregory Belle Isle, Cassandra Bartholomy, Nicholas Belle Isle, Meredith Belle Isle, Kwesi Caton, Christa Belle Isle, Zachary Belle Isle, Andrea Belle Isle, Mark Belle Isle, Tatiana Ickler, Meghann Chiodo, Devon Chiodo and Nathan Chiodo, Kirsten LaBlanc, Chant LaBlanc; great grandchildren, Kalianna, Cooper and Miken. Ramona is also survived by her siblings, Francis (Marilyn), Melvin, Joe (Karen), Maryann Quaderer, Steven (Sandy), David (Gale), Bernadette “Bernie” Brom, Michael (Angie), Tony (Karin), Vincent, Ann Marie (Brian) Abrahamson; sister in law, Pat Langer and many, many nieces and nephews, other family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
