Betty J. Rogers

Betty J. Rogers age 92 of Osceola, Wisconsin was reunited with her beloved husband Don on Friday, November 27, 2020, both of them now sharing the peace and love of their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Betty was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin to Elert and Hazel Anderson and lived there until moving as a young bride to Osceola with her new husband. All who had the good fortune of knowing Betty were blessed with her kindness and caring. She was a comfort to all the school children she nurtured as administration secretary for many years at Osceola Elementary. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Osceola where she served with the Ladies Aid and Bible Study groups. Her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was boundless. Betty was an inspiring role model who never had a cross word and always offered encouragement while radiating peacefulness and optimism.

She leaves behind 3 children Tom (Margy) Rogers of Webb Lake, Bob (Lynda) Rogers of Chetek, Kris (Lon) Chivers of Luck; 4 grandchildren Teresa (Chad) Thuet of Hastings, MN, Kelly (Isaac) Hohman of Seymour, WI, Rob (Kaycee) Rogers of Madison, WI, and Pete (Jelisa) Byl of Whitefish, MT; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Richard (Pam) Anderson of Mahtomedi, MN; brother-in-law Jim (Corinne) Rogers of Osceola, WI; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don; grandson Travis Rogers, parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.

A private celebration of life will be held at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola with interment at Mount Hope Cemetery in Osceola. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Christian Community Home of Osceola or to Trinity Lutheran of Osceola. Betty’s family is especially thankful for the kind, compassionate and loving care of the entire staff at Christian Community Home and Heartland Hospice. Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
