To the editor,

Partisanship is proving to be a major roadblock to progress in Minnesota and this country. We need representatives who can work together to make this a state in which businesses can flourish and individuals can prosper. I believe that Denise Packard from District 57B is the candidate for the job, as she will always put people ahead of politics.

Denise is experienced with the issues many of us deal with:

she has had children and grandchildren in the public school system and in private schools, who’ve also gone on to college; and family members who’ve served in the military and known the sacrifices they make as well as the difficulties of re-entry into civilian life. As a registered nurse/caseworker/educator she problem solves daily with people helping them to navigate the health care system, which is vitally important in today’s world.

I’ve known Denise for over 30 years, and she has always been hardworking and resourceful. Since the death of her husband, she has supported herself and been there for her family’s challenges. She knows how to live within her means and make the necessary financial sacrifices, which will serve her well in making the tough choices as a representative for Minnesota.

It is with great pleasure that I am crossing party lines to vote for Denise Packard, as I know I can trust her to consider and respect the views of all the members of this community and take action on our behalf for the betterment of the State of Minnesota.
