The League of Women Voters of Woodbury and Cottage Grove reminds voters to attend their precinct caucus Tuesday evening, March 1. Minnesota is one of the states where this grassroots process works well and allows citizens to have their voices heard.

Going to a caucus is a great way to meet your neighbors, show support for a candidate, raise an issue that’s important to you, and influence who the political parties will endorse for many offices.

Never been to a caucus? Want to know more about how it works? Check out this YouTube video from the League of Women Voters Minnesota: youtube.com/watch?v=JuAiNNUcriw. Representatives of Minnesota’s Republican and Democratic parties describe what to expect on caucus night and how you can be involved.

Find your caucus location and learn more about precinct caucuses on the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website: mnvotesinfo.sos.state.mn.us or call their elections office at 651-215-1440 or 1-877-600-VOTE (8683, 651-215-1440 or 1-877-600-VOTE (8683)

Thank you, and see you on caucus night.
