Eau Claire Memorial scored two touchdowns in the opening 1:40 on its way to remaining undefeated with a 49-7 win over River Falls Friday night at Carson Park in Eau Claire.

The Wildcats' lone touchdown came on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Kusilek to Brad Freeborn late in the first quarter that made the score 21-7. The touchdown capped a 62-yard Wildcat drive.

The Old Abes led 37-7 at halftime and 42-7 at the end of the third quarter.

The Wildcats lost Freeborn and running back Sam Lenzen to injury in the first half.

Kusilek completed 11-of-27 passes for 124 yards in the loss. Aaron Rodewald carried the ball 10 times for 34 yards as the Cats rushed for just 56 yards.

Brad Erdrich had an interception for the Wildcat defense.

Eau Claire Memorial improved to 5-0 overall, 3-0 in the Big Rivers Conference while the Wildcats fell to 2-3 overall, 0-3 in conference play.
