Lake City split its doubleheader with Pine Island Saturday in Lake City, dropping the first game 6-0 and winning the second game 13-4.

Elliot Cox went 3-for-4 with four RBI in the victory for the Tigers (4-3, 3-1 HVL) while Logan Thomas went 2-for-5 with two RBI. Mitch Kuchinka drove in one run and finished 2-for-5 and Luke Bremer went 3-for-4 for Lake City, which had 17 hits.

The hits were plentiful in the second game, but in the first game they were scarce for the Tigers against Panthers starter Colton Sinning.

Sinning held Lake City to one hit in a complete-game victory. Sinning struck out seven and did not walk a batter for the Pine Island (3-6, 3-6 HVL) in the win.

Reid Lundell lasted just four innings and got tagged for six runs, three earned, on seven hits. Lundell walked one and struck out three.

The Tigers face Zumbrota-Mazeppa Thursday in Zumbrota.
