Five Woodbury High School athletes inked National Letters of Intent Wednesday to further their athletic careers in college.

Reid Peters, Lucas Hauswirth, Madison Gaffney, Grace Rogers and Brittany Hadj Romdhane all made their college decisions official by signing letters of intent.

Gaffney and Rogers will both go on to Division-I women’s soccer programs next season. Gaffney will attend the University of Minnesota and Rogers will attend Valparaiso University. Both served as captains last fall for the Royals, who lost 3-1 in the Section 4AA championship game.

Lucas Hauswirth signed his letter of intent to attend Washington University and play for the men’s soccer team. Hauswirth opted to play for the Minnesota Thunder Academy for his junior and senior seasons instead of playing for Woodbury.

Hauswirth said the decision to dedicate more time to soccer wasn’t difficult, especially after the Huskies ended the season ranked fourth in the nation.

Hadj Romdhane, who competes for the Rising Stars club, will continue her gymnastics career at Southeast Missouri State and Reid Peters signed with Winona State University for football.
